Franco Spicciariello is the Director of Public Policy, Italy and ECSEED (EAst, Central and South-Eastern Europe Division) at Amazon Web Services.

Expert in law, technology, public policy and sport business. He studied between Rome (LUMSA) and Boston (Harvard University and University of Massachusetts), where he also worked at the State House of Massachusetts, and published the book “Introduction to institutional relations” (LUISS University Press).

For more than 20 years he has represented the interests of companies and organizations at Italian and European institutions and in 2008 he was one of the founders of the public affairs company Open Gate Italia.

He joined Amazon.com in 2016, covering different roles within the public policy functions, and moved to AWS in 2019 to support the expansion of its presence in emerging markets.
